The Etu Moana Beach Villas Resort is a small, friendly and personal Boutique Resort, located on a lovely white sand beach with stunning views over the Aitutaki Lagoon.
From the moment you are personally met at the airport with a fresh flower lei, to your arrival at the Resort, welcomed with a coconut cocktail, the friendly staff will do everything to make your stay a special experience.
Etu Moana, which means 'blue starfish' in maori langauage, offers just 8 Polynesian-style detached villas, with thatched roofs, large, private covered veradahs and modern furnishing and facilities but with a traditional Polynesian feel. Hardwood floors, exposed beams, teak furniture and local art work to create a personal and Polynesian atmosphere.
Each self-catering villa has the same floorplan, and is arranged in 2 rows of 4 villas, starting at the beachfront, going up the 1.5 acre property through the lush tropical gardens, but they all have a view of the ocean. They offer a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, fridge/freezer, purified drinking water tap and sink, a King size bed plus a day bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor courtyard garden showers, bathrobes, hairdryer, satelite TV, DVD/CD player, IDD telephone, iron and ironing board, in-room safe and all windows and doors have insect screens.
Although the Etu Moana Beach Villas are self-catering, they do provide a complimentary tropical breakfast in the Pool House every morning, offering a selection of breads, jams, pastries, freshly sliced fruit, juices, tea and coffee, which can be taken back to your villa if you wish. There is an Honesty Bar by the pool, where you can pour yourself a cool drink to sip and watch the world, or lack of it, go by!
For other dining options, there are a couple of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and other local towns and villages are only a short drive or cycle ride away, using the Resorts' complimentary bicycles, hire car or taxi. The very helpful, friendly staff are always happy to direct and recommend
Etu Moana offers complimentary use of kayaks, snorkeling equipment, reef shoes, bicycles, DVD and book library, and for a small fee they also offer a laundry service, WiFi Internet access, scooter hire and the pool side Honesty Bar. Nearby you can book a round of golf, a lagoon cruise, sport fishing trips or guided hikes and island tours.
Etu Moana is a quiet, peaceful Resort in a great location on the Aitutaki Lagoon, and close to many attractions and experiences, as well as local towns for shopping, eating and nightlife. The staff are waiting to welcome you and will go out of their way to make your stay as wonderful as possible.
